Class of 2014, University of Florida College of Dentistry
William Spencer graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology. As an incoming first year dental student, he was selected to participate in the Summer Research Program. He worked with Dr. Luciana Shaddox on a project comparing the inflammatory response to health and disease associated biofilm stimulation in African-American children with localized aggressive periodontitis. He presented the results from his project at an international conference and is working on submitting a manuscript on this work to a peer–reviewed journal.
Currently, William is in the DMD program at the University of Florida and will graduate in 2014.
